Join a group
PLEASE NOTE: We are in the process of creating a new website for NLU3A, so in the interim period some aspects of the website may not be fully updated. Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.
All of our Interest Groups are informal, inspired and enthused by their members. There is no formal structure, and no classroom atmosphere; it’s all about learning for the pleasure of learning.
Choosing a group
Check the lists of groups on this page: browse through them, then click on the titles to find more about any groups that interest you. Perhaps you would enjoy revisiting an earlier skill or hobby, or trying something completely new?
You’ll find contact details of the Group Coordinators on each group’s own page, and contacting them is your next step. You can go along to any group once as a ‘taster’ before deciding whether to join it. And if any group you want to join is full, ask the Group Coordinator to put you on a waiting list and to let you know if a space comes free. If several members want to join a full group, we will try to set up a parallel group.
Our website is regularly updated with information on groups, so keep checking these pages and you won’t miss anything!
