Having felt the lack of a Theatre Group post-Covid, it was decided to start by selecting several plays which we would like to see, finding convenient dates, usually matinees, and then inviting our members to book their own tickets – sometimes in pre-selected seats by arrangement with the theatre. We then arrange to meet up afterwards for a drink/tea/coffee and to discuss what we have seen.
This means that no group member has financial responsibility, other than for their own expenditure. With the prices of theatre tickets now, this seemed the best way to manage the group, at least initially.
